2023 YCIC ACSL teams win first place at NY state

YCIC (Youth Programming Innovation Club) has organized and participated in ACSL (American Computer Science League) for two consecutive years. This year, our two teams, including the elementary school group and the junior high school group, have a total of about 15 students participating, and 10 of them entered finals.

Our two teams both won the first place in New York State. At the same time, two students from the junior high school group won the joint first place in New York State, one student won the final bronze medal, and one student from the primary school group won the final gold medal.

The American Computer Science League (American Computer Science League) originated in Silicon Valley of the United States and has a history of 40 years. It is one of the oldest computer programming competitions for elementary and middle school students in the United States. The competition has also been officially certified and recommended by the National Association of Secondary School Principals NASSP and the American Association of Computer Science Teachers. Support from tech and education businesses. As countries pay more and more attention to programming education, many primary and secondary school students from the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia actively participate in the competition every year.

  • Points competition (four rounds per year)

Youth Coding Innovation Club (www.ycic.club) is a club centered on parent volunteers. It has participated in and organized many youth STEM activities and competitions for many years. There is no current situation of ACSL activities in primary schools. From 2021 to 2022, the team will participate in the ACSL competition for the first time and achieve good results.

All activities are free, limited to primary and junior high school students studying in the United States, and the location is not limited. For high school students, please contact your school. Many high schools have participated in ACSL competitions.
